A 3-session pop-up choir for ALL to come and sing. No experience necessary, Adults and accompanied children welcome from ages 12+. Beccy Owen's Pop-Up Choirs is an on-going series of group singing events. A pop-up choir is a one-off musical happening that changes every time. EVERYONE is welcome to take part and you don't have to attend all 3 sessions, you can drop into just one. We tend to work a cappella (without any instrumental accompaniment) and always have loads of fun. The emphasis is on enjoyment, not perfection. We do a range of different songs from across all genres and from around the world. There are no auditions and all voices are welcome. All we ask of Pop-Up Choir 'members' is the ability to listen, a willingness to improve, and the readiness to accept direction. Then it's mainly about simply enjoying yourself and waiting for the 'performance magic' to take effect. Beccy has been leading choirs professionally for the past twenty years (and pop-up choirs for the last four!) She has been all over the world collecting uplifting, accessible songs to share with you. You will arrive to a warm welcome then be expertly led through a vocal warm up followed by a fun-filled, focussed singing workshop.
