7:30PM, Friday, May 21, 2021

Venue: Darlington Hippodrome

Enjoy a classic film screening in the Hippodrome's beautifully-restored Edwardian auditorium... PRIDE is inspired by an extraordinary true story. It's the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers is on strike, prompting a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists to raise money to support the strikers' families. Initially rebuffed by the Union, the group identifies a tiny mining village in Wales and sets off to make their donation in person. As the strike drags on, the two groups discover that standing together makes for the strongest union of all... - Groups of seats are 1+ metres apart in line with government guidelines on social distancing. - Groups of seats should only be occupied by members of the same household. On arrival you will be greeted at the door and your choice of drink taken. Your drink(s) will then be brought to your seat(s) by a member of staff. Depending on which ticket type you purchased you can choose from the following options: £6.50 ticket - Hot drink (any) or soft drink (500ml water or 600ml Pepsi/Tango/7UP) £8.50 ticket - Alcoholic drink (175ml red or white house wine or bottle of Heineken)
