Education at the Hipp

To celebrate the launch of the Hippodrome's new education offer we are inviting teachers to the theatre to show case some of these exciting opportunities and events.

The afternoon will include a backstage tour, networking, dynamic example activities and a Darlington Hippodrome goody bag.

Post show Q&A:

There is an opportunity to talk to the cast and creative team directly after the 7.30pm show on Wednesday evening, in the auditorium. This will last approx. 30 minutes. If you would like to stay for this please allow extra time when booking your return transport. There is no requirement to book for the post show Q&A.

Jack and The Beanstalk – Pantomime – Relaxed performance


Thursday 12 December, 12noon


Schools price: £10 with one teacher free with every 10 tickets booked.
This performance of the pantomime is primarily aimed at audience members with autism or sensory processing issues or anyone that finds a typical theatre setting a challenge. Any startling lighting effects and loud noises have been toned down, the lights in the auditorium with remain on, the doors will remain open and there is no requirement to sit still or remain quiet.
