Hippodrome staff have selected Together21 as their new annual charity partner.
Together21 aims to help children and young people with Down syndrome and their parents acquire essential skills that will equip them to meet the future with confidence. The charity offers weekly term-time intervention groups for children and young people with Down Syndrome (across all ages and key stages), offers support, advice, training and guidance for parents and works to raise awareness by promoting positive perceptions about Down Syndrome within mainstream schools, local communities and workplaces.
The activities provide the opportunity to build friendships within peer groups as well as support their development in reaching their full potential. This is a chance for parents to get to know each other, providing a vital friendship and peer support network for families. You can follow the activities of the group by following their facebook page.
